Every generated plan is real geometry, not an image

A scheme from Floor Plan Studio is walls, rooms, doors and windows you keep editing — not a picture you trace over.

It's worth being explicit about this, because it's easy to assume otherwise: nothing Floor Plan Studio generates is a rendered image you then have to redraw. Every scheme is real wall, room, door and window geometry from the moment it's created — the same data structures you'd get from drafting it by hand, with true topology (a wall carries and updates both sides when you move it, a room split keeps its adjacent walls correctly connected).

That matters for what happens next. You can immediately snap a wall to the grid, drag a room and watch its boundary walls follow, place a door with a correct plan symbol, or switch to a live-linked 3D view — all without an intermediate "convert image to CAD" step, because there was never an image to convert. Compliance checks, the bill of quantities and the area statement all read directly from this same geometry, so they update as you edit instead of needing to be regenerated from a picture.

It's also why export actually works the way you'd expect: DXF, SVG, glTF and the native .fpsx project format all round-trip the real model, not a rasterized approximation of it.
